Jennifer Garner was originally born in Houston Texas on 17 April in 1972. Her family was however raised at Charleston West Virginia. Her dad, William John Garner, was a chemical engineer for Union Carbide. Patricia Ann was a teacher at the local university. In order to continue in the footsteps of her father, she earned a degree in chemical engineering. However, because she wanted to follow her dream of becoming an actress, she moved in New York to try her chances in the film industry. In her Broadway roles were accompanied by a job in a local eatery. Garner was a small part on "Felicity" (where it was that she also came into contact with Scott Foley). Her breakthrough came in the action film "Alias." Garner's debut lead role as a character was the acclaimed romance "13 going on thirty." She played the role of a teenager caught trapped in the body of the 30-year-old. Garner chose Gary Winick (director) to create the film. They looked for projects that could be made until Winick's death in the year 2011. Garner was awarded the title an artist ambassador for Save the Children U.S.A. This role entails national literacy along with nutrition, early childhood education, and many various other aspects. Garner is a board member for the non-profit group since the year 2014. She is a proponent of early childhood education. As a member of the Early Steps to School Success (EASS) team of ambassadors for the program Garner regularly visits families to guide them in ways to motivate their children to succeed.
